It is possible to purchase non-activated cells at a lower price than activated cells. The cells already activated by us have a slightly higher price and are ready to be frozen and shipped. There is no difference in terms of performance and duration. The difference is that ice in cells, unlike ice in bags, can conform to both the products to be shipped and the containers in which it will be placed. Furthermore, the cells can also be cut into single units for small shipments. The cells can also be purchased unactivated, meaning they need to be immersed in common water for a few hours before use, thus allowing significant savings for large quantities ordered, a reduction in our transport costs due to lower shipping volumes, and logistical savings considering the smaller space required in the customer's warehouses.
Absolutely not. Our product is tested by BioLab Laboratories and authorized for use in the food sector, therefore it is absolutely harmless in case of ingestion.
Regardless of the type of ice used (cells or bags), the amount to use is 2/2.5 kg of refrigerant product for every 10 kg of perishable goods to be shipped. This quantity is conditioned by the overall quality of the container (thickness and density), so the higher its isothermal factor, the less product can be used.

In recent years, we have seen a progressive disuse of dry ice due to its dangerousness. Furthermore, it should not be underestimated that all shipments made with dry ice must be declared in advance and an extra charge is applied by couriers for these. Synthetic ice, on the other hand, is safe in all respects, absolutely does not need to be declared, and offers the great advantage of reusability.
